Container shipping usually falls into three categories. LCL (Less than Container Load), 20ft ISO and 40ft ISO. These are the standard size containers shipped around the world on ships and trucks. Each container can carry just over 20 tonnes but the ultimate limit is what the road vehicle can move.
Containers can also be moved efficiently by rail from ports to dedicated rail terminal heads. A 40ft container is approx 23603 ft. A very large space indeed, whilst a 20ft container is approx 11603 ft. A full house removal will usually require a 40ft container.
Cars can be shipped in containers or Ro-Ro. Ro-Ro is not secure though and cars can easily become damaged. You should consider this when moving a car!
The standard pallet load is 20 pallets, but as many as 60 euro pallets can be stored in a high cube container.
We can accomodate container shipping from China or container shipping Poland. Container movements to Cyprus usually take around 12-14 days from a UK port. Contact us if you are moving a container from the UK or if you require information on shipping from ANY destination worldwide.
